Mechanical Applications Engineer

Synergis, the region’s leader in engineering and manufacturing design solutions and an Autodesk Premier Solutions Provider for Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Applications Engineer specializing in electrical design and engineering automation solutions for manufacturing industries.

This position will focus on the electrical aspects of machine design and automation including but not limited to electrical schematics, point to point wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic diagrams, etc. The candidate will work primarily with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and its integration with the Cable and Wire Harness capabilities in Inventor Professional.

This position is based out of our Quakertown, PA office. Candidate must be willing to frequently travel, occasionally overnight.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must be able to provide pre-sales support including needs analysis, product demonstrations and implementation consultation. Candidate is also responsible for product support, helpdesk, end-user training and will be involved in engineering consulting work. Candidate should possess a 4 year degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of two years electrical industry experience; excellent communication skills; advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, VIA, Promis-E, or equivalent electrical design package; proficient in the Microsoft Office products as well as Windows 2000/XP, and some understanding of Networking. Experience with a 3D modeling system is a plus.
