A Senior Manager in the Information Dynamics practice is expected to the following overall IT and consulting expertise:
Development of statements of work and/or client proposals
Broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence data direction at the Enterprise Level
Experience preparing sales materials for technology services
Experience selling technology or management consulting
services
Identify and promote best practices and patterns for data modeling, and provide oversight for all activities related to master data management, data cleansing, data quality and data consolidation using standard data modeling methodologies and processes
- Create training materials and organize knowledge transfer to clients
- Experience leading large scale technology projects
- Experience working with CxO level executives on a daily basis
In addition, Managers in the Information Dynamics - Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence practice must have the following management/strategy capabilities and technical skills.
Management/Strategy Capabilities
- Experience leading large scale master data management initiatives
- Experience dealing with issues of data ownership, governance, and process change to define master data management strategies
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance of existing data structures
through master data utilization
- Experience defining master data acquisition, propagation, and access strategy
- Understanding of the benefits of master data and its relationship with business processes and applications
- Experience developing standards for Master Data Management
- Create processes for capturing and defining data, data standards, modeling meta models and documentation
- Provide expertise in information enrichment, information access and information distribution activities
- Design and implement data quality and data auditing processes
- Develop strategies and implementation plans for master data environments
- Experience managing business requirements for master data, managing the quality of master data, ensuring proper data use, and managing additions/extensions to master data
Technical Skills
- Familiar with master data management tools such as Oracle, BEA, IBM and SAP
- Experience leading projects that
involve acquisition, distribution, and management of core data entities
- Familiar with master data tables structure
- Experience creating implementation plans to access, extract and propagate master data
- Experience leading efforts involving importing data from multiple source systems and propagating to multiple target systems
- Knowledgeable of data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching
- Good understanding of multidimensional model, logical and physical models design and data types
- Knowledgeable of ETL tools such as Informatica, Cognos, Ascential, ETI and Pervasive Software
- Proven ability to architect an ETL solution
- Understanding of API protocols
- Experience importing data from multiple source systems
- Proficient in one or more of major data modeling tools such as Erwin, Data Architect, Oracle Designer
Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred;10 -12 years of relevant work experience
Candidates must be willing to travel nationally to client locations
