Marketing Manager - Decorative Calendars

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the management of the Decorative Calendar business, including the maintenance and development of the product line and direction and support of sales efforts for those products. A primary focus is the direct supervision of three Associate Marketing Manager positions in the day-to-day execution of overall marketing plans for the Decorative Calendar business.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develop business line strategies, annual objectives and marketing plans for the Decorative Calendar business
-P&L responsibilities for assigned product line
-Provide support to sales force via consultative input on sales strategy, product mix, pricing and terms development
-Provide direction on stock display development
-Provide consultative input on account specific display and program development
-Ensure on-time delivery of decorative calendar products in accordance with published dates
-Develop and deliver product presentations to internal and external customers as needed
-Develop annual competitive analysis update and competitive product comparison analysis
-Develop product line plans annually
-Identify license acquisition targets and develop proposed financial commitments in order to secure the appropriate content
-Assist in the development of annual pricing menu plans and comparative P & L analysis
-Direct development of product artwork; review and approve artwork, product specifications
-Identify and develop product line extension and new product development opportunities
-Identify product cost savings opportunities
-Manage annual collateral development—including catalogs, sales plan book, marketing bulletins
-Manage and evaluate market research and analysis, promotions, public relations, and advertising plans; assess their success vs. target
-Supervises multiple Associate Marketing Manager positions in the day-to-day execution of overall marketing plans for the Decorative Calendar business
-All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent in relevant work related experience
-4-6 years experience in marketing, preferably in consumer products.
-Understanding of 4 color printing, design and electronic prepress is a plus
-Knowledge of pop culture, lifestyle and artwork trends
-Understanding of many diverse retail channels of distribution (not just mass market)
-Experience with overseas produced/imported product a plus
-Experience managing licensed product lines preferred
