The opening is for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER SPECIALIST FOR TEST STANDS/DYNAMOMETERS who will perform the following duties:

Description
Position open for a degreed UG machine design engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience designing special test rigs. Must be able to design large, complex equipment such as vehicle dynamometers and transmission test rigs.
Fully conceive and design heavy, complex, custom-built test stands.
Make changes to drawings of existing test stands.
Participate in detailed discussions with customers.
Prepare project quotations, including negociate prices with parts vendors.
Prepare BOMs.
Participate in kick-off meetings after obtaining work contracts.
Carry projects through to successful conclusion.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
At least 5 years experience in test stand and gear design and manufacturing.
Full capable of UG and AutoCAD
Ability to work both in a team environment and on own initiative.
Contribution of ideas and enthusiasm, and demonstration of interest in successful project completion.
Experience in project management is desirable.
Knowledge of technical German is helpful but not required.
