Lead Software Designer/Developer - Kansas City, KS

Provide technical leadership in the design, coding, unit testing, documenting, and deployment of efficient and effective data-intensive commercial products and supporting systems.
Plan, organize, lead and drive lead technical aspects of large scale software engineering projects to successful conclusion.
Lead software engineers by example through high performance productivity, complex problem solving, application of software engineering best practices, attention to detail, accountability, creativity and an obsession for consistently high quality deliverables.
Function as the technical point-of-reference for the project teams: provide expert guidance and mentoring.
Work at highest technical advisory level on the most difficult analysis and design assignments.
Lead design and code review sessions.
Work with the enterprise application and data architecture team members to design new products and supporting systems.
Work with business/systems analysts to create and/or refine technical requirements and specifications.
Develop level-of-effort estimates for new initiatives and determine time-to-milestone completion estimates.
Conduct technical proof-of-concept initiatives and determine technical feasibility of product concepts as required.
Provide significant contribution to systems development methodologies and process improvements.
Monitors and tracks emerging technology trends and associated tools and approaches.
Provide specific technical leadership across the company and/or within the external computing industry.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
Minimum seven years of software engineering experience with progressively greater responsibility and expanding range of technical expertise
Demonstrated expert level knowledge in C#, XML, HTML and SQL (additional J2EE experience is highly desireable).
Solid knowledge of pattern-based, object oriented and .NET design and programming techniques.
Strong knowledge in all aspects of the SDLC, experience with agile and/or RUP approaches desireable.
Demonstrated successful track record of delivering Internet standards-based three/four tier commercial products.
Experience in successfully delivering SOA and supporting web services.
Experience with ETL tools, Biztalk, and SQL Server 2005 highly desireable.
Demonstrated willingness to work in and contribute to a team environment.
Healthcare experience preferred.
