Lead Process Piping Designer for Dynamic Engineering Company
Job Purpose:
Responsible for process mechanical projects by planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring design and execution requirements of specialty chemical, foods, pharmaceutical industries. Produces designs by understanding function and characteristics of the design; planning design concept; providing technical leadership; developing, illustrating, and revising designs; and mentoring tram members.
Duties:
Develop and implement process (mechanical) piping project execution plans and schedules. Leads and enhances design team accomplishments and competence by planning completion of design projects; answering technical and procedural questions for less experiences team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
•Plans design assignments by studying client's request; understanding function of the design; preparing budgets.
•Plans design concept by researching and analyzing desired design characteristics, such as size, shape, weight, materials, ease of use, fit, cost, and safety; revising budget and obtaining approval to proceed.
•Develops design by defining form, features, and fit; explores alternative designs; revising designs.
•Completes projects and illustrates deign using REBIS 3-D Modeling; prepares equipment layout, piping ortho-graphic and piping isometric drawings by use of AutoCAD.
•Meets legal requirements by following any specific process related codes.
•Capable of small and large bore high temperature pressure piping systems.
Skills/Qualifications:
•15 years experience designing large and small bore, high temperature pressure piping for the specialty chemical and food industries
•Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, REBIS and field dimension of existing process systems.
