Lead, ESBWR Plant Layout and Civil Structural Design

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: - Be responsible for the Technical Leadership of Engineers and Contractors in the ESBWR Plant Layout and Civil/Structural design disciplines.
Perform technical and business compliance evaluations of work performed.
Manage employee work schedules and priorities.
Monitor and enforce compliance with policies and procedures.
Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues.
Be a leader in Company initiatives Six Sigma, process improvement, digitization.
Support GEE Nuclear quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Corrective Action Reports, identifying and providing needed training and mentoring, and maintaining adequate levels of qualified personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: - B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
Hold a valid Professional Engineering License.
Minimum of 15 years experience in BWR (or PWR) plant layout and civil structural design and analysis.
Must be familiar with BWR systems, plant arrangements, pipe routing and associated ANSI/ASME Codes and Standards (i.e. B16.5, B16.9, B16.10, B16.34, B16.11, B16.28, B36.10M B36.19M etc.), EPRI Guideline, 3D modeling, AutoCAD, space control & ISI.
Must be Familiar with BWR Civil/Structural applicable Codes and Standards such as ASME Sec. III and VIII; ACI 349; AISC 690; ANSI/ANS PRA regulations and requirements.
Must be thoroughly familiar and experienced in the use of Safety requirements embodied in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title10 and documents such as Regulatory Guides; NUREG and SRP's for the technical areas outlined above.
Applicant must meet requirements to officially certify, with professional stamp, drawings and specifications as mandated by ASME and Safety Bodies.
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated people management and motivation skills.
Six Sigma green belt certification (GE Employees Only).Desired: - Experience with 3D modeling, BWR systems, and BWR construction.
Ph.D. in Engineering Discipline.
Previous technical leadership experience.
Experience in Overall BWR Plant Layout and BWR Civil Structural Design.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification (GE Employees Only).General: - Must be able to start immediately upon hire.
