KUVN06-10 PT News Video Tape Editor

KUVN Univision News 23 is seeking a news video- tape editor to join our award-winning team. We need someone with a creative eye, motivation and enthusiasm to work. We shoot DVC PRO.

Responsibilities include: daily newscasts editing, maintaining videotape library, coordination of feeds, taking in video feeds from the field. Will work closely with Producers, Assignments Editor and Photographers to edit news stories for daily newscast.

Minimum requirements:

Skills:
Candidate must have superior communication skills and capacity to work well with people under pressure. Must be a proactive problem solver. Ability to work all shifts ( morning, evening, weekends, holidays). Must have the ability to work with editing equipment in a confined space for long periods of time and be able to use computer keyboard proficiently. Avid Nonlinear editing experience is required. Candidate must pass an edit test.
Experience:
Ideal candidate must have at least 3 years news experience in a large market daily television newscast operation. Broadcast writing experience is a plus.
Education:
4-yr degree preferred.
