Junior-mid level technical architect
Kelly IT Resources is currently recruiting for a Junior to mid-level technical architect,who will be working on-site at a highly regarded client. Scope of Work:
Our client has an immediate opening for a full-time, entry to mid-level Technical Architect as part of its client-facing Application Design & Development team.
The candidate's initial assignment will be to support technical architecture activities for the implementation of a multi-faceted information security service for a large Fortune 100 company located in Wilmington, Delaware. The successful candidate will work with other Phena team members and multiple entities (the client, systems integrator, and external operations provider) to support the development and delivery of the information security service.
Longer-term, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on other projects associated with the design, development and implementation of technology solutions.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks:
Provide support for an Active Directory (AD) Implementation. the candidate will provide support for the information security service implementation/integration with the client's Active Directory program as follows:
'Develop and maintain the implementation plan for AD;
'Work with Active Directory SMEs and other program technical architects to design a technical architecture for AD implementation that integrates with the overall information security service architecture;
'Drive information security service integration with Active Directory to completion in collaboration with other members of the information security service team, client's IT Architecture group, and the client's Active Directory services delivery organization;
'Work with information security service Operations resources to develop operational processes supporting the implementation.
Technical Architecture. The candidate will provide ongoing development and support of the information security service technical architecture as follows:
'Assist with defining and managing the high-level architecture for the following service areas:
oGlobal Lookup
oEnterprise Directory
oWeb Access Control
oProvisioning
oFederation
'Assist client's integration and operations partners with architecture implementation at the hardware and software systems level;
'Assist with data management/integration issues related to implementation of HR data feeds and Federation.
Management process. The candidate will:
'generate periodic status reports and hold regular meetings to brief the information security service team on progress regarding both AD Implementation and Technical Architecture;
'work closely with service area teams to provide architectural guidance and assistance as designs in each area are developed;
'regularly participate in design reviews associated with each service area and provide constructive feedback to help drive conformance of designs with the information security service Architecture.
'organize and conduct one or more architectural reviews of each service area as the designs for each area near completion;
'provide assistance to information security service resources with the development of design and operational guides necessary for successful on-boarding and operation of each service.
Documentation. The candidate will develop or guide development and completion of the following deliverables as part of his/her work:
'Information security service architecture strategy document, laying out principles and guidelines for continued architectural development (for the current program year and phases beyond the current year)
'Updates to existing architectural deliverables to bring them into conformance with client architectural standards and currently implemented functionality in each service area. Continue to update these documents as Architecture and service area designs change.
'As designs progress for each of the various information security service sub-projects, generate working reports reviewing how the designs conform or diverge from the agreed-upon overarching Architecture.
Candidate must have the following skills/abilities/experience:
Demonstrated success in supporting and managing technical architecture activities on several projects, delivering on-time and on-budget. Prior experience on projects and teams involved in the design and development of multi-tiered web-based applications is preferred.
Strong application development/enterprise architecture background with minimum 2 years experience in enterprise level or large-scale software development, or information systems.
Minimum 2 years experience in technical architecture.
Demonstrated skills with technical architecture tools and methodologies (Rational Unified Process or similar), software development lifecycle, software engineering best practices and problem solving.
Previous technical experience with Internet technologies, J2EE and/or relational databases desirable.
Must be able to facilitate meetings and discussions across multiple constituencies and meet both scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
Must possess excellent computer skills, including strong working knowledge of project management tools (especially Microsoft Project), and creation of spreadsheets and databases.
Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, decision-making, conflict management and leadership skills are essential.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with diverse constituents.
Works under minimum direction and uses independent judgment in decision-making.
Effective, superior communication and presentation skills required.
