Junior Level Project Manager for Manufacturing

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $32 to $37 per hour Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a contract to hire Junior Level Project Manager for Manufacturing firm based in Irving, TXThis is a Junior level project manager position. The candidate will lead the global planning, analysis, management, and implementation of information systems to serve the full range of business needs for the Manufacturing Solutions Division. Specifically, the Project Manager will act as the primary IT lead for the implementation of global projects such as Product Configurator, Sales Force Automation, Install Base, etcInternally, the candidate interacts with the Executive Team, business system users, corporate IT staff, and divisional management regarding the use of information systems to support and enhance business processes. Externally, the candidate interacts with IT providers at both the managerial and technical levels.
The position's greatest challenge is to identify cost effective systems according to the business needs and to manage full life cycle implementations of those systems.
On a day to day basis the candidate will be responsible for delivery of projects from assisting in approval process, developing plans and budgets, through to handoff to the production support group; working directly with business owners from numerous business units across the world to define project objectives and goals; creating plans for projects (MS Project) and report on project progress to senior level executives; organizing highly complex activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of projects; the software selection process; ensuring project and process quality; develop and manage issue resolution process; select and manage consultants; develop and maintain effective procedures to collect problem reports, enhancement requests, and strategic objectives for IT and Business process plans. Collect and communicate priorities for resolving issues presented; manage projects to achieve planned schedules, costs and results. Resolve conflicting demands on resources; coordinate with VP of Enterprise Shared Services, VP of Shared Technical Services, VP of End User Services, and divisional IT staff to design and develop technical architecture that will support business objectives; consult with peers from PD and CD to benchmark their tool selection efforts as well as to investigate best practices from other companies with similar business needs; maintain effective ongoing communications with the business and IT community and operational management regarding system plans, projects, budgets, expenditures, and policies; support the continuous improvement process; ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
