Junior Graphic Designer

We are seeking designers to design CD packaging from concept through print production. Must be proficient in Photoshop and InDesign or Illustrator. Responsibilities / Tasks:
•Designing CD packaging from concept through print production, including: printing film for silkscreen printing; sending files computer-to-plate for offset printing; trapping; and performing quality control checks.
•Working closely with account managers to communicate print and design issues to client.
•Archiving finished files and burning artwork onto CD-R upon client request.
•Staying abreast of design and color trends in music and other design areas, and maintaining a knowledge of Disc Makers design resources (fonts, CD-ROM imagery, clip art).
•Backing up assigned partner during their absences.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements:
Min. 4-year Associate degree in graphic arts field or equivalent experience.

Special Skills Required:
•Knowledge of InDesign and/or Illustrator and Photoshop for the Mac.
•Ability to make design decisions quickly in a high-production environment.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
•Illustration skills a plus.
•Knowledge of printing and web design a plus
•Knowledge of Spanish a plus
