Junior Data Architect

Position Summary

Coordinates the design and development of Information Technology databases and related master files. Upholds the fulfillment of Life Time Fitness' Mission Statement.


Examples of Work Performed

1. Develops data models, describes data elements and how they are used
2. Establishs and calculates optimum values for database parameters
3. Modifies existing databases and database management systems or directs programmers and analysts to make changes
4. Reviews procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database
5. Reviews project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
6. Provides database support to developers and engineers
7. Develops and supports Paperless Agreement application
8. Monitors the growth of production databases to determine future capacity needs
9. Produces database schemas and changes based on developer provided data requirements, including creating tables, indexes, views, triggers and storage procedures
10. Produces technical and functional data dictionaries and diagrams of systems
11. Produces scripts to convert data for system migrations and upgrades
12. Initiates database change request process on all database related changes
13. Assists software development groups with database related issues
REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Qualifications



Education:
Four-year college degree in Computer Science or related field



Experience:
One to two years related work experience
