Job Description

This Web Developer will be responsible for designing, programming and testing COD Web requests. This person will be responsible for providing training and supervision to the team as well as reporting status to the team leaders and managers; will report to the team lead.

Responsibilities include:
• Creating detailed designs, developing code, executing component testing, and supporting assembly testing
• Supporting the resolution of production issues through development activities
• Build JSPs, Servlets, Java Beans (JSP tag library), Java Script, and HTML based on detailed designs.
• Build SQL and database stored procedures to support new requirements from detailed designs.
• Develops COD Web service request requirements. Works with other team members to understand requirements and clarify conceptual needs.
• Develops detailed design specifications for COD Web requests and have the design documentation reviewed by the task’s milestone date. Applies technical and functional knowledge to design efforts. Peer-reviews designs completed by other team members.
• Analyzes, codes, and tests modules, both new programs and those with modifications required. Ensures that the finished product meets the criteria outlined in the high level design specifications.
• Creates, executes, and documents tests to ensure that an application meets user requirements and functional specifications. Performs component and assembly testing with limited supervision using component and assembly test plans. Plans and conducts system, regression, and user/beta tests as required. Can generate or set up test data.
• Follows production fix procedures effectively, from root-cause analysis to service pack migration, to ensure high quality, on-time service pack delivery.
• Supports product test, assembly test, regression test, and test environment deployments to ensure high quality, on-time delivery of major system-enhancement releases.
• Seeks timely support when functional/technical issues arise so that a quick resolution is ensured and project deadlines are not jeopardized.
• Communicates with Customer Service Representatives when needed to gain functional knowledge surrounding issues and proposed enhancements, or to report issue progress and resolution.

REQUIREMENTS
•2-5 years of Java programming experience.
•Experience with software development and maintenance practices and methodologies.
•Displays proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
