COMSYS is currently seeking Java/J2EE Software Developer who is interested in taking a development project from start to completion. This opportunity is located in Washington, DC.

Job Description:

As a member of a development team you will be a part of designing and coding applications that solve a variety of major business issues for a government agency.

The technology platform is comprised of Java, J2EE Application Servers (including JBOSS and Oracle), Oracle database all in a Solaris/Linux/Windows environment. Critical delivery of high performance Business Intelligence code in a reporting environment is required.

This is a very demanding position that requires several years of experience with a broad technology background with in-depth, hands-on architecture, design and development experience with Java and J2EE.

REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
• 5+ years of software design and development experience with a proven track record.
• Significant experience building systems with Java and J2EE and related technologies.
• J2EE (Java, JSP) - at least 5 year
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to quality customer support.
• Self-starter, sound judgment, the ability to work well with and influence others.
• Experience performing application build and deployments to Solaris and Linux.
• Knowledge of Object relational mapping tools, preferably Hibernate at least 1 year
• Experience with Portal applications.
• Experience using ANT build tools
• HTML and general web development (including DHTML, javascript) - at least 2 years
• Experience interfacing with Oracle database (some ability to understand, interpret and code using SQL, PL/SQL, general database development) - 3 years
• Experience with application servers in a clustered environment.
• Experience using GoF design patterns
• Experience with JUnit unit testing
• Experience using Java Server Faces (JSF)
• Experience with high-scalability and high-reliability n-tier enterprise software.
• Experience with Java software development and utilities in a Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge:
• Hands on development experience using UML, J2EE patterns
• Experience building software infrastructure and core services.
• Familiarity with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, XML, etc.).
• MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Agile Programming environment
• Experience with AOP frameworks such as Spring or JBoss AOP
• Experience with EJB3 is a plus.
• Experience with Java Security Packages
