Interface Graphic Designer

Description:
Our client, one of the world's leading hotel companies and the world's largest internet retailers, has an immediate need for an Interface Graphics Designer to Produce and implement the user experience/interface graphics design and layout of the company's many web sites. Work with project team members to conceptualize and create graphics which enhance the brand identity, graphic presentation and user experience for web consumers.

Duties / Responsibilities:
Work with project teams to produce and implement web graphics design and layout requirements or parameters to meet the defined visual look, feel and appeal of the brand, client or interface. Apply creative techniques to a full range of web graphics projects (simple to complex) in order to translate the web's concept into graphics and visuals which will appeal to the consumer and meet the needs and requirements of the internal client(s).
Create the graphical user interface design and all related visual elements (style guidelines, HTML mockups, and final PSDs) for assigned e-commerce projects. Using wire frames developed by the project team, responsible for tactical implementation of design and color, and addition of graphic elements to match the site's user needs and enhance the user experience.
Make suggestions to define and improve web site graphical design and interface based on ongoing projects and industry trends.
Work with other team members to develop standard UI design enhancements.
Prepare special projects involving web design, or act as a member of creative project teams to conceptualize, provide artistic direction, or define technical possibilities for web-based graphics, as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
- 8+ years progressive work-related experience, including 3 years Internet/E-Commerce experience in product management, product development, marketing or operations, with demonstrated travel industry experience and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Demonstrated ability to present new concepts, research findings, and business outcomes to various groups including corporate clients, senior management, potential vendors, and industry consultants.
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required.
- Demonstrated experience in detailed product development discovery, documentation, and design work.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform research and use the results of analysis to make effective strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated hotel industry knowledge reflecting the entire customer experience lifecycle (reservations – stay – ongoing relationship management).
- Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and other web “building blocks” (conceptual level required, practical knowledge preferred). Ability to develop scripts, html templates and composite sketches preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Demonstrated ability to adapt tactics and strategies to fast moving, rapidly evolving marketplace required

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienced.
