Instructional Designer

We are looking for an instructional designer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Westlake, Texas.



Summary

The Instructional Designer will create a methodology to assess the needs of target audiences. This professional will assemble creative learning solutions and develop courseware to help a department or group reach its business goals.





Responsibilities

Provide training, consulting and curriculum management services to functional groups and business units

Lead and conduct training needs assessments and task analysis

Define competency models

Design learning plans and curriculum maps

Based on identified needs, define instructional objectives, instructional and media strategies, and evaluation methods

Design and develop instructional materials in a range of media formats

Design and develop testing and measurement strategies

Manage complex training development projects; coordinate team resources including course developers, media production specialists, graphic designers, publishing specialists, and external vendors

Conduct pilot and train-the-trainer sessions

REQUIREMENTS


Curriculum design and development, project management, or training delivery experience

In-depth knowledge of instructional design and development processes, media strategies, and evaluation methods

An M.Ed. in instructional design or educational technology is preferred

Demonstrated consulting or client-management skills

Demonstrated facilitation and communication skills

Demonstrated program and project management skills

Experience in financial services industry preferred
