Bemis Company, Inc. is an innovative leader in the flexible packaging industry. Due to business growth, we are currently seeking an Image Assembly Technician for our new facility in New London.

The purpose of this position is to produce correct separations from digital files for contract proofs, film negatives and digital plates, utilizing the software tools and specifications provided. Producing correct separations includes placing high-resolution images in digital files, applying traps, stepping the files and applying pressmarks. Job duties include receiving and processing jobs per written and verbal instructions, working by priority based on a schedule, ensuring proper placement and naming of digital files per company guidelines; and ensuring separations released to internal and external customers are in the best form possible to expedite the manufacturing process. The position also requires accurate recording of data pertaining to the individual jobs, and understanding and utilizing all software and equipment in the department. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Printing or Graphics is preferred or a High School diploma with 2-3 years of related experience is acceptable; excellent attention to detail and quality is a must; Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat; Esko or Artwork Systems experience a plus.
