IT Analyst

The qualified person will design, maintain, or build conceptual, logical and physical database models. Will be responsible for assisting with data imports and data exports. Assist with routine database monitoring and maintenance. Consult with both internal and external partners. Use troubleshooting skills to isolate, diagnose and documentation resolve database problems. Provide analysis and recommendations as appropriate. Create and maintain documentation of data models and Intranet applications developed by Avon. Serve as a technical backup for others on the data team. Be experienced with projects and system maintenance. Must run, develop and maintain ad hoc reports as requested. Research and recommend new and innovative solutions. Provide technical advice, communicate technical concepts, and provide project leadership with other departments as necessary. Must have the ability to work effectively with client, IT management and staff. Be able to gather and analyze data and present finding to client in a clear and concise manner. Should be able to understand and pinpoint bottlenecks and recommend solutions. Should be delivery/timeline focused.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Work experience should include 2-5 years in Information Systems. Strong Microsoft operating system, network administration and application development experience. The qualified person must have experience with SQL programming and store procedure creations. The position requires 2+ years of database development experience with a strong understanding of relational databases. Manufacturing and/or distribution environment experience desired.Required Skills
1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is required
2. Familiar with IBM MVS, Windows, AS400, and UNIX operating systems
3. MS Access application development
4. .NET development
5. Strong relational database skills
6. Strong communication and organizational skills
7. EasyTrieve report writing skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge and programming experience in application development technologies such as VisualStudio.NET (e.g. VB.NET). Knowledgeable in Web design, Access, and Mainframe Easytrieve reporting
