The Institute of Teaching and Learning at the University
of Connecticut is seeking experienced Instructional Designer/ Developer to join its professional development staff, in an ongoing effort that seeks to
enhance the quality of the undergraduate and graduate programs of the University.
Collectively, these talented and dedicated professionals deliver support services to some 1100 faculty in 16 schools and
colleges. The University of
Connecticut is the state's
flagship University.

The successful candidate will possess: a background in
formative and summative evaluation methodologies, excellent instructional design skills that respond to issues such as
active/student-centered learning, multiple learning styles,
information literacy and relevant use of technology, and
exhibit an ability to work collaboratively with a team of content specialists and media producers in developing curriculum and related products that have measurable, sustained impact. An ability to interact and effectively communicate, one-on-one, with faculty from varied disciplines is absolutely essential as are strong presentation skills. A willingness and desire to work in a team environment is crucial.

A Master's degree in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology or a closely related field is required. Prior experience in higher education and a strong work ethic will define
