I&C Designer Project 2

Position Summary: Must be able to supervise a staff of up to 10 designers. Some travel expected during the design phase, field assignments a possibility. Perform difficult I&C design assignments requiring thorough design knowledge and a wide latitude for independent judgement and initiative. Light Electrical design expected, strong Electrical a plus. Sold interdiscipline communication expected, especially mechanical, electrical and some process departments. Strong English speaking skills required. Familiar with domestic national codes and standards with the ability to design to specific state, local and contractual requirements. Offshore design supervision at a high value engineering center is required on some assignments.
Requirements: Advance degree a plus. Must have some CAD skills, INtools specific a plus and PDS a plus. 10+ years in Instrumentation, preferable power plants, and process plants. 3+ years in electrical design. Active participation in industry standard associations like ISA a plus. Basic PC and MS Office applications a must. Being able to manage off shore design with the appropriate support and training is to be expected. Control System design and basic engineering knowledge is advantageous. Strong working knowledge of I&C design products for power industry is required, power and process industry required. Managing off-shore High Value Engineering design groups is expected.
Job Conditions/Environment: Office environment with intermittent plant field engineering environment. Workload will demand adherence to schedule and budget sometimes requiring overtime. Field environment will include performing in a construction or operating plant environment. Safety is a primary obligation.
