Responsible for the facility and departmental planning of healthcare and research facilities, as well as the aesthetic solution and overall design for projects that are large and/or complex in nature. Must be familiar with current trends in healthcare delivery, the impact of new concepts of patient and staff flow as it relates to medical planning and the impact of newly emerging technology in medical equipment and medical communications in hospitals. Meets directly with client, analyzes client's needs and conceives and develops architectural solutions commensurate with the needs. Initiates and creates schematic designs and plans with responsibility for the preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives. Provides coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and medical planning. Represents the firm, by participating as a key member of business development teams, in presentations to prospective clients. Provides guidance/advice to other designers and projects. Works with the various engineering disciplines throughout the schematic and design development phases to ensure that the solution accommodates the engineering needs and the owner's program.Keywords: 061539, Healthcare Medical Planner/Designer

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture. 8+ years of project design experience. Registered Architect. Strong computer skills (AutoCAD and Microsoft Office). Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
