Are you ready to make a difference in the world of mobile communications with RIM?POSITION SUMMARY:The successful candidate will be participate in prototyping, debugging and verification of digital hardware for handheld devices. He/she will have knowledge of digital electronics design with a strong bias towards mobile processor, memories, digital and analog baseband circuitry. He/she will develop test software and write up verification reports. He/she will be familiar with verifying processor-based sub-systems with logic analyzers, high-speed scopes. The candidate must be a self-starter and be very confortable interfacing regularly with other engineering groups (hardware, software, factory, component qualification, etc..) and with external electronic components suppliers.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Electronics Technologist Degree.
Digital design and system debugging skills.
Experience with low-level software drivers and/or firmware development in C and assembly code is an asset.
Analog electronics design experience is an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, responsibility and leadership in a team environment
