HVAC Design Technician

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., (SEH) a multidisciplined consulting firm, has an opening for a HVAC Design Technician in our Mechanical/ Electrical group in our Minnetonka, MN office. SEH is a team-oriented firm providing challenge, personal growth, and career advancement opportunities. We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients.


Responsibilities will include:
Performing computations
Assisting in writing specifications
Preparing construction drawings
Candidate will assist engineers in the design and control of HVAC and plumbing systems.
They will size and select equipment, design low and medium pressure ductwork for HVAC processes, and design and layout heating and chilled water piping systems.
Candidate will also perform field surveys and assist in training support personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have completed an associate's degree in heating and cooling systems (or equivalent), with experience in AutoCAD.
Minimum of 6 years related experience required (including a full understanding of the preparation of construction documents).
