We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join the award-winning Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions creative group. Designing primarily for print media, the Graphic Designer will be joining a staff of 8+ creatives in the design and production of high-quality, brand-consistent work.
Responsibilities
* Handle design and production of a wide range of print projects including brochures, posters, advertisements, direct mail and corporate identity pieces.
* Follow creative work through from concept to pre-press and production.
* Interact with internal clients; work closely with creative, marketing, product and production teams to develop and implement design solutions.
* Juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced, agency-like environment.
Requirements
* 3+ years of professional graphic design experience.
* Art school degree; BA/BS.
* Exceptional portfolio that showcases solid conceptual, color and layout skills. Superior typographical skills an absolute must.
* Proficiency in InDesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator and Photoshop. Dreamweaver/Flash skills a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and able to communicate effectively both in verbal and in written form.
* Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and with direction as part of a team.
* Solid knowledge of the print production process and experience in communicating with outside vendors and consultants regarding pre-press and production.
* Able to adhere to deadlines while working on multiple projects.
* Committed with a positive, productive attitude.
* Able to work onsite at our midtown Manhattan home office.
