Primary Characteristics:Work with the marketing team and clients to develop creative concepts that turn into effective campaigns. Develop, and implement creative print, web solutions appropriate to client objectives.
Consult with clients through all stages of a project. Create and deliver dynamic multi-market designs.
Provide design leadership, ensuring that projects are on target, on time, and within budget.
Work with product development and sales teams to remain on top of the latest design trends and technology.Essential Functions:Effectively plan communications strategies and to design multi-media collateral and other tools to communicate institutional goals and messages.
Designer works closely with the marketing team to ensure that key themes and messages are properly communicated.
Responsible for the planning, development, layout, design, and coordination of print and web-based publications with clients, printers, and web development staff, and is required to routinely perform quality control, provide budgetary parameters, and write bid specifications for assigned publications.
Works closely with clients on all matters affecting the look of publications, is clients’ primary liaison with printers, and provides marketing assistance and strategic planning for marketing purposes or initiatives.Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirements):Portfolio required.
Web experience, including PC graphics design.
Skills and knowledge in print production, publications, advertising design, page layout, drawing programs, and web design and maintenance.
Brand management experience a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to think creatively, works on multiple projects under deadlines, and achieves results with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop and HTML design software.Training and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field OR 3 to 5 years’ related experience.GRADE: 14E
