Graphic Design Specialist I
BASIC FUNCTIONThe Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for the development of effective, high-impact designs, illustrations, and special publications that communicate AmeriCredit's key messages to targeted audiences including both current and prospective dealers, customers, shareholders and employees. The team member is also responsible for development of graphics and creative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and impact of AmeriCredit's communication vehicles.
JOB DUTIESCreate and implement effective designs for print and online publications
Develop and maintain resources and materials that educate or aid in the recruitment and retention of employees
Strengthen AmeriCredit's brand through consistent quality and appearance
Develop high-impact advertising, sales promotion and recruiting materials for print, electronic or on-line distribution
Actively participate in the development and implementation of an effective AmeriCredit graphic standards programOTHER IMPORTANT DUTIESPerform other duties as assigned.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports to: Creative Services Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge
Advanced knowledge of advertising art theory and practice
Working knowledge of HTML and basic web developmentSkills
Strong artistic and design skills
Strong project management skills
Proficiency with relevant design related programs, including Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.Ability to work comfortably with PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Strong analytical, follow-up and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with customers, executives, vendors and employees
Illustration skills a plusExperience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
2-3 years of advertising art experience in an agency or corporate environment
Previous experience in advertising, mass communication or related discipline.
Previous experience with image setting and digital prepressWORK CONDITIONS
Normal office environment. Position may include a small amount of travel and some overtime
