GIS Coordinator

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour A company opening a new office in the capital region is seeking a GIS Coordinator to create, maintain, and continually update GIS databases for 12+ Northeast projects.Responsibilities Include:
oDeliver wind facility layouts to various project managers and the company's personnel in a timely manneroAnalyze geographic features to determine optimized placements for turbines and other facility infrastructuresoCreate method for project managers to access a database or map using interactivityoMaintain NY and PA portfolio databasesoBe the lead for ordering new tax maps and organizing appropriate GIS files/ databases/ map collectionsoStandardize all current databases (layers properties, layouts, reference scales, etc.) for all projectsoBe available to assist on-field project managers with immediate mapping needsoInteract with Wind Analyst department in Dublin, Ireland to ensure data accuracy and validate wind resourcesoAssist all mapping capabilities from site acquisition and validation to permitting and constructionoFind appropriate GIS data through multiple sources and create data though heads-up digitizingoAssist in meteorological mast placements and working with field workersoDisplay and convert data with various coordinate systems into database All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
