Flight Test Engineer - D3103042

This is a Flight Test Engineer (FTE) position in support of derivative and modification programs such as the KC-767A. The person in this position will be responsible for following multiple projects from the beginning, through development, assisting with identifying test requirements, developing test cards from test plans, mission planning, resource management, test conduct, reporting and compilation of the final test data package. This position will also require the candidate to conduct pre-flight and post-flight crew briefings and fly on the aircraft as a test conductor. Additionally, the candidate will be required to conduct test missions from a control room when required.Job Requirements
Minimum BS engineering degree required in aero, electrical, or mechanical. Experience as a flight qualified test conductor (FTE) with at least 1000 flight hours conducting tests is required. Knowledge in a variety of test conduct areas such as flying qualities, performance, aerial refueling, avionics, structural and systems testing is desired. Candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills. Must have a positive self-starting attitude with the ability to perform in high stress situations involving rapidly changing mission requirements and deadlines. Proficient with PC based software applications including MS Office. Must be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance. Must be able to obtain an FAA Class III flight physical and successfully complete other training to qualify for A.F. Aeronautical Flight Orders as this is a flying position.
