The organizations have joined forces to create BSC, which is now the prime contractor implementing solutions for the Yucca Mountain Project.
YOUR OPPORTUNITYThis is a senior position in the Engineering Hazards Analysis group. Duties consist of supporting designers/engineers in incorporating Integrated Safety Management considerations in design decisions. This includes implementing activities to achieve safety through design for normal operations and when challenged by internal and external hazards. Implementing activities include performing Hazards Analyses, interacting with system design developments to identify and mitigate hazards, reviewing designs to assure Integrated Safety Management incorporation, and facilitating verification and documentation of Hazards Analysis in design documents.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a BS in Engineering or related technical discipline, and a minimum of 13 years relevant experience in design safety assurance, preferably in the DOE and NRC environment. A record of demonstrated ability in practical applications of design safety assurance is required. Must have a good working knowledge of industry consensus and regulatory standards pertinent to Hazards Analysis, including DOE and OSHA.
