Job DescriptionPosition Summary:Perform a variety of engineering work in the planning and design phases of projects. May also support procurement and construction phases. Assignments will include dredging, shoreline/wave modeling, sediment transport and deposition, geotechnical and hydraulic modeling. Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and detailed engineering. Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards.Requirements:Masters degree in Coastal Engineering with a minimum of 5 yrs of experience working on civil type projects in a coastal environment. PE in Louisiana required, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.Job Conditions/Environment:Work typically performed in an office setting with constant deadline pressure.
