Embedded Software Engineer Systems
General Information:
Technisource is a national provider of technology services, focused on achieving the unique goals of our clients and consultants. Long term contract opportunity available in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a Senior Systems Engineer with avionics background. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Job Description:
Specify systems operations/requirements for Architecture Configuration
Toolset (ACT) on the program. Define high level concepts by
coordinating with customer, suppliers, and onsite support team at
Boeing. Translate concepts into lower level requirements for software
system. Perform system verfication tasks.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 5+ years experience in avionics environment with background in
commercial aircraft systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering
related field.
- Understanding of PC-based software application development as it
relates to requirements definition.
- Knowledge of commercial aircraft avionics systems including protocols
such as AFDX, ARINC 429, ARINC-664, networks, etc.
- Knowledge of Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) is a plus.
- Experience working within a CMM/CMMI Systems/Software organization.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with development tools such as DOORS, Dimensions,
WindChill.
- Strong analytical and requirements management skills.
- Background in DO-178B based development and verification.
- Ability to work within a mutisite team.
- Test automation
- Understanding of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and the
eXtensible Markup Language (XML).
Candidates must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
