DESCRIPTION:
Engineering – Software Development

Support creation of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) system-level software for Department of Defense (DOD) work in Austin. Designing and developing this technology involves both detailed work with FPGAs (dynamic configuration and management) and extensive software engineering of middleware and application programs, providing an opportunity of unusual technical breadth and depth.

REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities/Expectations; Overall Requirements:
•0+ years of (embedded) SW development
•BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred; Computer Science with strong computer architecture also considered
•Strong design and analytical skills
•Organized, thorough, and detail oriented
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•Keen interest in advanced reconfigurable and programmable logic and supporting tools and infrastructure

Knowledge Skills:
•Hardware description languages, Linux development, object-oriented middleware (e.g., CORBA), real-time applications, encryption, large-scale software application development

Experience with Some/All of the Following Technologies/Languages:
•C/C++, Verilog/VHDL, FPGA tools and technology, Linux internals, CORBA, fault-tolerance, real-time programming, high-speed encryption
•Support integration, system debugging, performance tuning, coordinating with engineering and test groups
