Job Duties:

Plans, develops, evaluates and analyzes mechanical engineering designs tasks
Creates multi-system technical design models and drawings to support component or system manufacture, installation, and upgrade
Creates designs and specifications for complex engineering designs from conception through manufacture and build/assembly. Uses computer-aided design (Pro-E) system to create drawings for component fabrication/assembly and/or installation and upgrade from layouts, rough or detailed sketches, electronic databases, or written or verbal instructions
Successfully liaises with engineers and physicists throughout the design process.
Converts multi-CAD system subassemblies from vendors, partners, collaborators into integrated mechanical assemblies
Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detailed drawings Checks drawings and documents to assure compliance with applicable engineering codes and drafting standards
Works with Document Control Center (DCC) to help ensure accuracy and completeness of electronic drawings in the DCC system
Ensures compliance with environment, safety, health, and quality program requirements including ISMS
Maintains a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of values and ethics

REQUIREMENTS

An Associates degree in engineering discipline
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in design of complex mechanical systems or an equivalent combination of education and design experience required
Experience using ProE or similar 3-D CAD system required
Knowledge of the technical concepts of drafting plus basic engineering principles, codes, and standards required
Experience working in a technical environment desired
Punctual and able to maintain a complex schedule
Ability to work independently and as a valued team member
