ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER

Purpose: A great opportunity for an Electrical Systems Design Engineer in Savannah!


POSITION SUMMARY:
Create harness installation drawings using CATIA. Individual must have extensive V4 CATIA 3D/2D experience (min 7500 hrs); a background in the aircraft industry with familiarity of aircraft wire harnesses, schematic and wiring diagram layouts; and knowledge of MIL-W-5088. E3D prior experience is desirable.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Applies diversified knowledge and experience of engineering principles and practices in specific technical areas.

2. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.

3. Will use advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories and practices of a specific field.

4. Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a large and important engineering project or a number of small projects with many complex features. Provide technical guidance to other engineers.

5. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation test, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.

6. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.

7. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.


PREREQUISITES:
1. Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.

2. 10 years in the specific technical discipline or 13 years broad engineering experience with broad experience in several technical disciplines.

3. 7500 hours CATIA experience
