Director of Technology and Operations (Health Care)

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $140,000 to $180,000 per year One of the nation's most prestigious public accounting firms is seeking a Director of Technology and Operations for their Health Care Consulting practice. responsible for the management of all aspects of the software development life cycle, has four direct report managers, and over 20 indirect report associates and senior associates.
Job Description:The Health Care Consulting Technology Director has significant influence on overall strategic responsibility for the technology direction of the Health Care Consulting practice. This position also requires someone who is recognized as a technical expert. Provides and exercises broad Practice focused judgment in arriving at optimal decisions for operating budgets, schedules, life cycles, methodologies, and the like as well as the performance of our people. Manages/provides strategic and tactical leadership for the technology aspects of the Health Care Consulting practice. Makes recommendations to Practice and Health Industries technology leadership on strategic technology imperatives. The role is expected to be one that collaboratively works with the Director team within the Health Care Consulting practice to help guide the business to achieve practice goals and delivery outstanding quality products and services to clients nationwide.
The person in the role will:Manage the Health Care Consulting Technical team•Provide leadership, direction, and collaborative input to managers and staff•Resolve client issues when necessary•Provide leadership in order to create a client centric service organization that delivers world class quality client services via multi-channel communications.•Provide leadership and analytics in complex or sensitive client situations.•Provide management, analytics, oversight, leadership, and collaborative input for all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle•Provide oversight and management for software releases for all 4 Health Care Consulting products•Collaborate with product champions to plan and execute future direction for the Health Care Consulting product set•Guide technical team in career planning.•Manage administrative issues for the resources assigned.•Organize the staff according to business plan and career requirements.•Implement and manage organizational structure that supports practice goals.•Manage the infrastructure to support the business model.•Collaborate with Health Care Consulting team members, USIT, Advisory IT, and HIA Technology to implement, maintain, enhance, and follow all Firm standards for all Health Care Consulting related hardware and operational infrastructure.•Provide leadership and consultation for the future direction of the products and practice from a technical perspective•Establish and maintain standard, proven policies, procedures, and processes for the operation of the Technical Group.•Provide project management leadership•Collaborate with product leadership to set direction for the productAll applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
