Director of Information Technology

We are currently looking to identify candidates for the position of Director of Information Technology. The Director of Information Technology’s primary responsibility is the management of IT to insure alignment with the business objectives of the organization as well as to direct technology, policies, processes and people toward a common vision.

Reporting to the V.P. of Information Technology, the director will plan, coordinate, direct and design operational activities within the IT group, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission critical business operations.

The IT Director will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

?Establishes current and long-range direction of technology aimed at keeping the organization on the forefront of change.

?Provide technical solutions expertise, and industry knowledge base to support sales and marketing efforts including pre-sales support, job costing, management of customer engagements, development of system specifications, architecture and project plans.

?Oversee management of Software Development Teams responsible for new system development. Insuring for each customer engagement; delivery is on time, on budget and on schedule.

?Development of our marketing solution systems. Analyze and manage strategic technology partnerships, as well as analyzes purchased systems, hardware and software, or the internal design of current architecture.

?Acts to assure integrity of corporate data, proprietary information, and related intellectual property through information security and access management.

?Coordinates the design, development, marketing and maintenance of technology projects.

?Analyzes new technologies and run competitive analyses.

?Implement and monitor continual measurements that utilize consistent performance metrics to effectively oversee new software development implementations from discovery through deployment.

?Acts as interface with non-technical users in determining overall information systems approach.

?Promotes the interfacing and control of organization’s present technology and the dissemination of technological information throughout the necessary parts of the organization.

?Develop and manage IT programs and services to support various departments.

?Serve as the enterprise focal point for computer security incident response planning, execution and awareness.

?Provide day-to-day leadership and management to help company achieve goals through IT solutions, both operating and corporate level (i.e. translate the business goals into technology deployment plans). Alignment with business needs is essential.

?Leading multiple technical and IT operational teams. Plan and control IT staffing, development, organization and IT infrastructure to ensure they are consistent with business plan of the company (short and longer range).

?Designing and implementing large–scale telecommunication systems. Experience supporting telecommunications and networking needs in a large call center/multi-site environment.

?Proven ability to be proactive in trouble shooting and problem solving relating to a telecommunication and network systems

?Ensure a high level of availability and redundancy within the infrastructure for disaster recovery purposes.

?Support the governance of major processes within the organization by leading and participating in various initiatives and teams.

?Ensures a high degree of team coordination between teams within IT and throughout the company.

Education Required:

A Bachelor's degree along with at least ten years of technical experience is required in order to perform the tasks associated with this position.

Additional certifications and technical training is also beneficial.

Experience Required:

Significant experience in managing technical teams, software development teams, data center management, system management, network management, technical operations and customer service is required. Experience in management of key vendor relationships is required. Technical management experience in an enterprise network environment is highly beneficial. Experience in leading multiple teams, developing strategic and operational plans, developing capital and operating budgets, and project management is also highly beneficial.

?Demonstrated ability to manage teams of experienced professionals
?Minimum of 4 years of project management experience
?Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
?Hands on experience with software and data integration, preferably in the CRM Industry
?Experience in business analysis, technical, job costing and staff/organizational development
?Experience in working in a regulated environment; experience in Computer Systems Validation and SOX Compliance
?Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, MIS, or related field.
?Experience in implementing tier 1 ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft), preferably in the Pharmaceutical, Marketing Services or CRM Industry.
?Excellent organizational and communications skills (written/oral/formal presentation).
?Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead people and get results through others.
?Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with management.
?Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills;
?Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
