Director of Flavors & Sweetener Technology for Fortune 500 Co.!

Fortune 500 Food Company is seeking a Director of Flavors & Sweetener Technology. This position offers an Excellent Salary and Benefit Package for the right individual!

Job Responsibilities:

You will take ownership of our Flavor and Sweetener strategies, and will work with senior colleagues in various functions to refine, and to drive the implementation of these strategies;

In particular, you will be responsible for improving cross-functional procedures and relationships required to facilitate better, faster project completion;

You will lead a team directly responsible for implementation of certain aspects of the strategies, but will also be responsible for influencing implementation through other groups in Science & Technology and other functions. Focus will be on product innovation and value optimization agendas.
REQUIREMENTS
MS in Food Science, or closely related discipline;

10 years experience in Food S&T, preferably in a consumer-facing business, although some experience in the flavor industry would be beneficial;

Familiarity with Product Development, Procurement, Quality Control and Manufacturing processes and procedures;

Significant experience in use of Sensory and Consumer Guidance Tools in Product Development and Product Application;

High level of project and project portfolio management skills, including demonstrated ability to allocate projects, based on individuals' skills and development needs;

Experience in directing, coaching and developing senior scientists;

Excellent written and oral communication skills;

Computer (user) skills and familiarity with MS office suite and Lotus Notes are vital. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
