Digital Design Engineer

Schafer Corporation has an opportunity for a Digital Design Engineer to work in its Albuquerque Operation. Individual will be expected to draw upon experience to identify design deficiencies in optical communication systems as well as innovative solutions and methodologies. Individual will be a key participant in defining engineering approaches, designs, planning and schedules for management. Individual will be guided by assignment objectives and will clear actions with management before proceeding.



Responsible for ensuring that system power, controls, electronics and communication system simulation requirements for optical communications systems are met.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience is required. Experience in electronics digital design, circuit design, and build and simulation tools is required. Experience with laser communication systems is required. Individual will be expected to work closely with the systems, optical and communications engineers in design and evaluation of components, devices and systems.
