Developer - SAS / Oracle / Unix

Fortune 30 company in the DC area providing unparalleled compensation package and benefits seeking qualified SAS / PL SQL / Unix developer responsible for providing technical support to the business analyst(s) by developing computer software using ( SAS / UNIX / Oracle / Scripting) in the client server environment. The developer will be responsible for designing and developing and modifying database structures, creating reports to validate and identify data anomalies. Develop processes to validate and test software changes through the System Life Cycle Management (SLCM). Demonstrate code changes or new development has resulted in the desired results required by the business analyst. Develop documentation that details new development and process flows. Update any existing documentation with development flow changes or modifications as well.
Candidate must strongly demonstrate the following characteristics: Team player, excellent interpersonal skills and communications (verbal and written), problem solving, influencing and negotiations. Candidate must build and maintain strong business and technical relationships across and outside of the Data Warehouse.
The Candidate will likely fulfill other responsibilities as necessary to achieve the Data Warehouse’s mission.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Mathematics or the equivalent in relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience programming in SAS / Unix / Oracle / Scripting in a data warehouse client server environment. The candidate must have very strong problem solving/analytical skills and have the skill set to master complex concepts with very little supervision. The candidate must also be a team player, have very good interpersonal and negotiations skills.
The position also requires that the candidate can work against deadlines with a very high degree of accuracy and demonstrate the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
