Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Review and interpret customer specifications. Interpret customer needs, understand technical issues / constraints, and provide technical design consistent with project constraints.
Develop and promote engineering design tools and standards to drive productivity in control projects design. Share best practices and communicate back to the related process owners.
Understand GE terms and conditions and review T&C's of customers and subcontractors to minimize risk and assure compliance.
Provide system design to facilitate the ordering, engineering, installation, design, and commissioning of the GE excitation and turbine controls business products. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
Highly proficient with the latest release of AutoCAD software.
Two Year Technology degree .
Minimum of 10 years experience as a designer producing electrical drawings for utility customers for installation of power electronics (GE exciter hardware).
Technical skills in design and construction practices. Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards. (IEEE; NEC; NFPA; & related).
Ability to analyze technical specifications, tender documents and proposals, and develop detailed design and construction packages.Eligibility Requirements

Field experience in related equipment.
