Design Engineer I or II

We have a solid track record of success, our focus is to consistently deliver superior systems integration, technical support and reliable products to our customers. Our regional office in Michigan is growing and is seeking quality personnel to join our team.
Provide educational, government, medical and business and indsutry customers with fully designed audio, video, audiovisual, videoconferencing and presentation systems. Provide selection of standard and custom products and services and integration of these products and services to met the customer’s application. A variety of tasks are performed in the office and on-location at customer site as required.This position reports to the Technical Services Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Key responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing fully designed audio, video, audiovisual, videoconferencing and presentations systems for customers, coordinating with systems sales specialists. Includes, design and development, development of rack elevations and functional flows, and as-built drawings, project management for integration systems and control system programming, (AMX and Crestron). Independently plan, organize, execute and document the facets of a project to completion within budgetary and chargeability standards. Provide customer training at the conclusion of project integration.Requirements:
Experience in the design, and installation of audio, video, audiovisual and presentations systems. Computer software experience in CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential. Knowledge of SalesLogix or Southware is beneficial. Educational background should consist of formal technical electronics training/experience or a degree in appropriate field. This position requires professional communications skills, the ability to perform independently, problem solving skills and leadership experience or potential.
