Design Engineer

Job Title: Design EngineerCompany Information: We are a pre-engineered steel building systems manufacturer located about 20 minutes outside of Little Rock. We design and manufacturer the structural steel and panels for all types of building projects, from small to large.Job Description: This position entails engineering design of steel structures. In order to perform this job well, it is expected that that this person will alsoBe highly involved with on-going design of steel structures including:
oAllowable Stress Design of hot rolled and built up members
oCold form member design
oLearn and implement building codes including the International Building CodeBe involved in coordination issues including:
oIn house coordination of designs with draftsman and plant personnel
oCustomer coordination of designs with end users, other engineers, architects, contractors, etc.Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis earned by December 2006.
Successfully completed the EIT exam, ability to work towards the PE.
Ability to start work soon after graduation with relocation to the Little Rock area.
