Design Build Manager

Ultimately responsible for managing any/all Design-Build Coordinator(s), employed and located at each Design-Build, or Joint Venture project site. Support of the quality control and quality assurance areas in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.Essential
Functions:Assist in Design Build (DB) or major teaming agreements, Joint Venture (JV) partner selection and related assigned scope of work, as well as team communication coordination.
Manage engineering teams in DB projects including prioritizing the requirements from designers and controlling costs.
Control flow of information in a timely manner to estimators and team partners.
Statement of Qualifications and Technical Proposal input and review.
Manage task forces in prebid phase involving constructability, value engineering, evaluating alternative concepts and construction schedules.
Develop and approve construction methods best suited for the projects.
Coordinate site investigations, Owner and team meetings, prebid schedule, methods meetings, and insurance/bonding for all major proposals.
Implement procedures for DB estimating process.
Preparation of JV instructions, estimate cost breakdown and resources.
Review and approve JV cost and quantity reconsolidations and comparison.
Coordinate partnerships and scope of work packages for subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare risk/contingency assessment.Required
Education:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering required.
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.Required
Experience:Experience in Pavements/Materials/QC/QA desired.
Engineer in Training licenser required, PE preferred.Required Skills
& Knowledge:Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
Proficiency with Multiple Materials and Pavement Design Software
Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.
