Decision Support Analyst

Summary: Design, develop and support end-user reporting solutions; produce ad-hoc data queries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
--Work closely with end-users to identify and develop reporting solutions.
--Partner with end-users to develop requirements for reporting, including translating non-technical requirements into technical solutions.
--Develop both ad-hoc and standard reporting solutions using appropriate tools.
--Develop graphical representations and detail level reports.
--Assist in defining steps and estimating effort appropriate for development and implementation of reporting solutions.
--Develop and maintains a thorough knowledge of CDI and industry business practices.
--Assist in training end-user on reporting solutions.
--Write supporting report documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
--Ability to analyze end-user requests and transform them into appropriate reports and data extracts.
--Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
--Ability to work with end-users from different areas in the business including executive staff.
--Ability to visualize, analyze and draw conclusions from data; statistical background a plus.
--Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff members.
--Must possess good organization skills, attention to detail, high motivation, strong communication skills and self-starter qualities.
--Must possess a “Creative Vision”.
--Familiarity with education industry a plus.
--Working knowledge of relational database and data warehousing concepts.
--Working knowledge of SQL query development using Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
--Experience using MS SQL Reporting Server; will consider experience with Crystal Reporting.
--Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
