Data Warehouse Technical Writer

Our client in Ft Lauderdale, FL is in need of a Data Warehouse Technical Writer for a contact opportunity through the end of the year. The successful candidate must meet or exceed the following responsibilities and requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:

Provide documentation to help the business utilize the Data Warehouse.

Create templates for IT Life Cycle.

Create and manage versioning of documentation so it remains up to date

Create and maintain format and templates of the development and QA practices.

Assist in various natures of test scripting development and maintenance.

Assist in the maintenance of the test script library for regression testing.

Work with development team to identify ongoing requirements.



Requirements:

2 - 4 years Technical Writing experience

3 – 5 years experience working with business units, technical departments and data warehouse development documenting processes, procedures and applications and development of user guides

3 – 5 years experience in the development and maintenance of user guides, technical guides and systems (data warehouse/database) documentation
Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Visio
Web Publishing (HTML, XML)


Experience relating to database or data warehouse systems, especially large scale efforts

In-depth knowledge of relational data bases on a functional level

Superior written communications skills, including editing of printed information including strong verbal (interviewing) skills

Required Skills: Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Visio Web Publishing (HTML, XML)

Preffered Skills: SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell scripting, Infomatica, ETL, PowerMart/PowerCenter 6.2 Lotus Notes Database Development
