Data Warehouse Architect / DW Architect

Projects
Enterprise Data Warehouse, DW Transition, Employee Data Warehouse, POS Data Warehouse, Marketing Database, Web projects.

Role
Lead the Data Warehouse architecture team in successful delivery of business-driven projects.
Provide strategic direction for the data warehouse and reporting tools.
Determine appropriate data integration strategies.
Maintain architectural integrity of an enterprise data warehouse and manage feeds to it and the subsequent marts and applications.
Help define data backup, archiving and purging strategies.
Define and enforce data security approach for storage, transmission and access.
Manage requirements for hardware platform upgrades and sizing.
Use technical expertise and leadership to guide project teams to business-focused data warehousing solutions.
Review designs and scalability.
Utilize technical knowledge in areas of data, infrastructure and application architectures.
Work with other architects to evolve and promote data standards.
Be both intra and inter team data mentor.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, the candidate must meet or exceed all of the following requirements:

Full life cycle data warehouse design >8 years.
Unix system sizing >2 years.
RDBMS planning >4 years.
A broad range of hardware and software platforms ( AIX, Oracle, DB2, WinTel servers, IBM WebSphere, AS/400, MS SQL Server) >8 years.
