DESIGN ENGINEER, PURCHASING SPECIALIST / AGENT

An ISO 9001 certified forklift manufacturing facilityin Columbus, IN. is presently seeking ideal candidates to join our team in:DESIGN ENGINEERINGPosition is responsible for effectively designing and coordinating the application of current and new OEM forklift components; investigation and response to customer requests for Toyota Special Designs; provide prompt response on technical issues; ensure compliance with UL, CARB, EPA, EEC and other regulatory requirements. Require 2D & 3D CAD system experience, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and preferably 2-5 years experience.PURCHASINGThis Specialist position is responsible for the purchase of production parts as assigned, supplier development, assist in coordinating sourcing activities for future models. Position will require ability to investigate and develop new suppliers, process request for quotations, complete detailed cost comparisons and utilize negotiations skills to achieve cost reductions, and conduct detailed costs analysis of products to understand cost drivers. Must possess effective problem solving skills and ability to create detailed implementation schedules and summarize progress. Prefer 4 year degree in business or related field. Computer experience in SAP, Word & Excel software required. Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing or related field.
