The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Connecticut is seeking an energetic, experienced, and self-motivated individual for the position of Database Programmer. Under the direction of the Director and Senior Associate Director, the Database Programmer maintains, organizes, and manipulates extensive data in the PeopleSoft Student Administration system to meet the high demands of the department and the University. Duties include extraction of data from PeopleSoft and the Student Administration Warehouse using PSQuery and BRIO to create reports for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the University community; work closely with the Office of Institutional Research on the completion of surveys and the reconciliation of enrollment numbers for official reporting; maintain passwords for legacy system; oversee Admissions volume on the University’s server; liaison to UITS on Admissions server issues; extraction of data for recruitment mailings; provide PeopleSoft production support which includes bundle and upgrade testing, processing support, etc.; and participation in the fall and spring University-wide Open Houses. This position requires strong technical skills in database management.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a focus in programming, database administration or related discipline; project management; strong customer service and excellent communication skills. Experience in PeopleSoft administration preferred.
