Consumer Products Design Engineer

A fortune 500 consumer products manufacturer has partnered with OutHire, an executive search firm, to recruit a Consumer Products Design Engineer. The best candidate will be able to support the Business Core teams in the development of new products from concept through production.

The right candidate will participate in the conversion of ideas and concepts into new products or portions of products. They will aid in the management of projects and specify, develop and test new product designs. They will also coordinate with other resources for the accomplishment of project goals and participate in the management of product research and development both internally and contracted outside the company.
REQUIREMENTS
-A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or knowledge and understanding of engineering principles normally acquired while obtaining a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-At least 3 years’ experience in design engineering
-4-6 years’ project management experience
-Knowledge of injection molding and lighting technologies
-Strong product engineering with computer aided design
-Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes
-Strong computer skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and CAD software
