PRIMARY DUTIES:
Responsible for problem-solving, configuration, and implementation efforts of Application Operations Group (AOG) activities and initiatives for large and / or complex software applications with an emphasis in
application deployments and application engineering of QA, Staging, and Production environments for the US Information Technology Services Teams.
Helps plan, develop and coordinate activities with various technologies including Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server, IIS, DBMS solutions, etc.
Be part of project teams that will work closely with all aspects of the firm. Will work closely with the core infrastructure teams (i.e. networks, server hardware and OS, monitoring, Exchange, information security etc.). Also will provide expertise to ITS's application development groups to facilitate the migration of applications through the application environment lifecycles (Development, Integration QA, Staging, Production).
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates a strong working understanding of troubleshooting techniques and strategies, IT engineering, deployment strategies and analyzing trending and statistics.
- Demonstrates an understanding of enterprise application
deployment techniques.
- Demonstrates an understanding of general infrastructure components and high level of how they interact.
- Demonstrates an understanding of testing techniques and strategies.
TECHNOLOGY/TOOL SKILLS
- Demonstrates a working understanding of Microsoft Enterprise software and technologies.
- Demonstrates an understanding of DBMS applications such as Oracle (8i, 9i and 10g), SQL Server
- Demonstrates an working understanding of application operations tools and monitoring technologies such as MOM or NetIQ.
- Ability to support level 1 and level 2 tech support teams.
SKILLS
- This resource will be called on to act as a representative of the AOG Application Operations team on particular projects, providing coordination, and point of contact services to the project team.
- Demonstrates a working ability to provide accurate project estimates and timelines.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to deliver on project commitments

EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5 years of relevant business and working experience is required to ensure tasks are completed with minimal supervision.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Microsoft centric environment to ensure a strong foundation in application support and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others. Ability to work in a team environment. Good customer service skills. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good organizational and planning skills. Strong time management skills.
